Measurement of selected samples relaxations by use of NMR
Kovalčík, Tomáš ; Gescheidtová, Eva (referee) ; Bartušek, Karel (advisor)
The work deals with nuclear magnetic resonance and principles of relaxation measurement and diffusion constants. Magnetic resonance is phenomenon, when energy in the form of RF pulse with Larmor frequency is added to this material in the magnetic field B0, the elements will be excited to a higher energy level. When you measure FID up to 90° RF pulse, from the absorption line, you will acquire . Further we can, for measurement of the transverse relaxation time T2, use the Spin echo method, that makes use of the 90° RF pulse and the series of 180° RF pulses. From measured values, the T2 relaxation time is directly acquired (inhomogeneity will prevent existence).
Image processing of MRI
Němcová, Simona ; Jiřík, Radovan (referee) ; Krátká, Lucie (advisor)
This thesis deals with the cartilage imaging using magnetic resonance. At first, there is mentioned physical principle of the magnetic resonance phenomenon and the most commonly used excitation sequences, followed by the description of the 9.4 T MR imaging system Bruker BioSpec 94/30 USR, which was used for measurement in the practical part. The next part is dedicated to the composition of cartilages and describes the temporomandibular joint, due to its suitability as an object for cartilage imaging. The series of MR scans of temporomandibular joint were taken with different acquisition parameters and evaluated by program designed through the MATLAB software. The program can be used for viewing scanned images, evaluating their contrast and determining the T1 relaxation time of the tissues by creating T1 maps.
Measurement of spruce needles by magnetic resonance imaging
Slivka, Ján ; Gescheidtová, Eva (referee) ; Bartušek, Karel (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is measuring of parameters of spruce needles from their 2D visual representation. To obtain the image, the magnetic resonance was used, specifically spin echo sequence. Further work is focused on digital image processing in order to obtain the necessary image information. The algorithm of linear mask operator was applied for reducing of noise and segmentation of image by thresholding was performed. Geometric properties of examined objects were obtained by integrated functions in MATLAB.
MR imaging of somatic embryos
Chovanec, Ján ; Kubásek, Radek (referee) ; Bartušek, Karel (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is measuring of tissue cultures of spruce MR imaging methods. Was measured set of samples, where was found contain of cluster in each cuts. To obtain the image, the magnetic resonance was used, specifically spin echo sequence. Method called spin echo is based on two pulses 90° and 180°. Selected method from the beginning of the work is than used to measure the diffusion and processing of cultures. In last part the work is devoted to data processing in Matlab and Marevisi.
